Overall, Butterfield 8 is not a great movie.  The best of it is the first 20 minutes of Liz in that exquisite slip!

Did Eddie Fisher actually play the piano? I wonder...anyhow, this makes me want to dig into the history of slip-scenery in the cinema. Probably lots of Pre-Hayes Code stuff.
